Ballet
Tap

Classical Ballet is the foundation for most styles of dance. Ballet  taken in conjunction with other forms of dance will assist student in accomplishing dance goals quicker. We have ballet classes for beginners, juniors and seniors. We follow the BAL (Ballet Australasia Limited) Syllabus. Ballet training will improve your child's concentration, strength, discipline, grace and flexibility. Ballet includes barre work, centre work and steps.

Tap is about making music with your feet, it's a great workout, particularly for your legs. Tap classes will develop rhythm, style and sound.  Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap.  Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.  Class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, while having fun! Students wear shoes with metal tap plates. Tap is a good contrast to the ballet, the kids get to make noise and have fun in a relaxed yet disciplined environment

Hip Hop
Tap dancing

Hip Hop is a street style of dance incorporating Popping, Locking and Urban Funk, performed to hip hop music or other styles of music. Kids get to dance along to some of their favourite songs on the radio while learning choreography to the beat and lyrics. Style and swag are important for a hip hop dancer so our teachers encourage individuality and fun. It is a great choice for dancers with little formal training or beginning late in life.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a more free form of movement, tending to be a fusion of ballet and jazz. Focusing on alignment, balance, flexibility and strength. There are many different styles of contemporary dance which encourage self expression, natural movement and personal interpretation, integrating style and emotion.

Drama

This class aims to develop Children’s Confidence, Creativity and Communication Skills. Including creative play, movement and emotions, mime, storytelling, improvisation and performance skills. It's great for public speaking practice and reading out loud. Our actors participate in a mid year pantomime where they learn and perform a script.  Students will improve in self-esteem, paying attention, maintaining eye contact and focus. They must have good reading capabilities or an adult to help them practice at home.
